What's the catch... Why do I keep more equity with HomeYeah?

There is no catch. Most real estate companies offer a set commission. With HomeYeah, you have the choice of listing and selling your home on the MLS without losing 5% - 7% of its value. Traditional agents will not reduce their commission structure, although the time and effort of selling a $100,000 home and a $1,000,000 home is almost the same. By providng you our flat-fee option, you retain more equity. It's that simple.

What are HomeYeah's success rates?

Since 1997, more than 2000 homes listed on HomeYeah.com have sold. Our statistics match and often surpass traditional real estate companies. The primary reason is that, because sellers are able to keep more equity with HomeYeah, they have more flexibility in terms of setting a fair market listing price and/or negotiating a selling price with a buyer.

Am I locked into a 6 month contract?

Most traditional real estate agents will require that you sign a 6-month contract to sell your home. HomeYeah allows our listing clients to choose between a 4-month contract and a 6-month contract.

What is the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)?

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is broadly defined as a proprietary database of home listings within a local market offered by a local Board of Realtors®. The local Board's agent members (Realtors®) use the database to announce homes for sale and help buyers find homes to purchase (buyer agency). In most instances, to place a home on the MLS database, you must be a member of the Board of Realtors® or list your home with a member of the local Board. Once the home is listed on the MLS, every other member of the Board is required to make best efforts to match homes consistent with their buyer's criteria.

Anti-trust laws prohibit a local Board from dictating to its members what fees or commissions can be charged with respect to placing a listing on the MLS. However, generally speaking, most Realtors® will charge a commission to the seller once the home is sold (usually 5-7%). Half of the commission charge (2.5-3.5%) may be given to the other member (or buyer's agent) who identifies a buyer for the home.

HomeYeah is a member of the local Board of Realtors® in each market it operates. charges a flat fee to any seller that would like to place his or her home on the MLS. However, will require the seller to commit to paying a buyer's agent commission to the Realtors® representing the buyer purchasing the home.

What is a Buyer Agent Commission (BAC)?

The Buyer Agent Commission (BAC) is the fee received by a Realtor® representing a buyer who purchases a home listed on the MLS. HomeYeah will require the seller to commit to paying a Buyer Agent Commission (BAC) to the Realtor® representing the buyer who purchases the home. Also see "What is the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)" above.

Can I use HomeYeah's Realtor® services only?
